Cipha Sounds
As a staple of NYC’s comedy scene and a DJ with roots in the
city’s rich hip-hop history, Cipha Sounds is a man of many
talents. With a knack for observational comedy, a background in
improv, and an arsenal of music industry anecdotes, Cipha’s sets
are always unique – drawing on the energy of the room and the
audience.
When he’s not traveling the world with comedians like Dave
Chappelle, Michelle Wolf, Mo Amer, and Michael Che, you can
find him performing at Manhattan’s legendary Comedy Cellar,
and headlining major clubs around the country.
Cipha is no stranger to the small screen. He just wrapped a
series with L.L. Cool J for A&E titled Hip Hop Treasures, which is
slated to debut top of 2023. Cipha starred on TV shows like
Tru TV’s "Laff Mobb's Laff Tracks", Fuse’s "What’s Ur Thing?"
and was featured on HBO Max’s "That Damn Michael Che". He
also spent many years as a host on Hot 97’s morning show, the
original DJ for Chappelle’s Show, and a touring DJ for artists
such as Lil Kim, Mos Def, and Rihanna. Cipha is currently the
co-host of the podcasts Juan Ep Is Life (with Hot 97 and ESPN’s
Peter Rosenberg), and Talk Clearlyer (with fellow comedian
Wil Sylvince), and he is working on his debut half-hour special
ONE NIGHT ONLY: Ryan O'Flanagan
RYAN O’FLANAGAN is a comedian, actor, and writer who can be seen in the Netflix Original Series "American Vandal" as well as in Comedy Central’s “Corporate.” Dead Kevin has been featured on Tosh.0, Comedy Central Digital and was an LA Weekly Top Comedy Act to Watch in 2013. He has appeared on New Girl, Adam Devine’s House Party, Last Call with Carson Daly, and voiced for American Dad and Disney’s Owl House. In 2017, Ryan partnered with Funny or Die to produce his popular ‘Overly Excited Tourist’ web series and in 2019 partnered with Chuckler to release his ‘Two Different Guys on a Bench’ series. Ryan also released new sketches in partnership with Funny or Die with his sketch group Dead Kevin in 2019. Ryan has performed at festivals around the world including JFL Montreal, Blue Whale Comedy Fest, Bridgetown, SF Sketchfest, RIOT LA, KAABOO, Life is Beautiful, and Vodafone Comedy Fest in Dublin. Josh Adam Meyers is a comedian, host, writer, actor, producer, and musician from the Washington D.C. area.
He is the creator and host of The Goddamn Comedy Jam, a live comedy and music show that continues to be one of the most popular live shows in Los Angeles at its base, The Roxy. This show inspired a TV version that ran for a season and a special on Comedy Central. The show’s live festival appearances have played to up to 15,000 people.
Josh can also be seen voicing ‘DJ’ Howlin Hank’ on Bill Burr’s Netflix show F is for Family. In 2020, Josh was featured on Comedy Central’s Bill Burr Presents The Ringers, closing out the first episode. Josh tours festivals and clubs around the country as a stand-up, and has appeared at JFL Montreal as a New Face in 2013, JFL Toronto, Moontower, Bonnaroo, New York Comedy Festival, Bumbershoot, Madison Square Garden, Kennedy Center, Blue Whale, Outsidelands, RIOT, Bridgetown, Life is Beautiful, and Clusterfest amongst others.
Josh is currently the host of the podcast “The 500 with Josh Adam Meyers” where he is going through Rolling Stone Magazines 500 Greatest Albums List, which was a Spotify Original from 2019-2020.
Shapel Lacey
Shapel Lacey is a Los Angeles based comedian born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. A diehard punk rocker and former award-winning competitive cheerleader, Shapel found ways to express himself and own his individuality at an early age. Shapel was cheerleading competitively for University of Louisville when someone dared him to take the stage as a comedian and he never looked back, dropping out shortly thereafter to pursue a career in stand up full-time. His unique life experiences such as being adopted by a Caucasian family at age 15, his punk rock mentality, and his stage presence make for a truly original voice in the comedy community. Diligence and the desire to grow led Shapel from the Phoenix open mic circuit onto main stages, where he regularly performed for comedians such as Bill Burr, Hannibal Buress, and Brendan Schaub, and is now headlining clubs across the country. Shapel was selected to be a “New Face” at the 2019 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival.
Caitlin Peluffo
Originally hailing from San Francisco, CA, Caitlin Peluffo is a New York based comedian. Caitlin is set to tape a Comedy Central featuring set this winter. Last year, she was featured on the Late Show with James Corden and was a New Face of Comedy at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal. Peluffo has opened for comedians like Fortune Feimster, Matteo Lane, Maria Bamford, Gary Gulman, Colin Quinn, and the late Gilbert Godfried to name a few. She regularly performs everywhere from The Comedy Cellar, The Stand and New York Comedy Club in NYC to clubs nationwide talking about how she came to be such a lovable loose cannon.

Winners from each show are determined by audience voting. Submissions limited to 48 contestants and we will crown 1 winner! So, if you know someone that is funny, have them sign up at the club, or on our website.
Sets are 5-7 minutes Preliminary Round, 8 minutes Final Round.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Lara Beitz cut her teeth in the Chicago comedy scene before moving to LA and becoming the most talked about new addition to the legendary Comedy Store’s stable. Since becoming a regular, Beitz has quickly gained fans from the top of the comedy world, including Judd Apatow, Marc Maron, Pete Holmes and Joe Rogan, who took to Instagram to call her “the real deal.” She gained more fans soon after by appearing on David Spade’s Comedy Central series LIGHTS OUT WITH DAVID SPADE and was a guest on THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE. In 2022, Beitz was selected as a New Faces stand-up performer at the prestigious Just For Laughs comedy festival, and also made her Television debut on the LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN.
Liza Treyger
Liza Treyger is a stand up comic who most recently was seen in the Judd Apatow movie King of Staten Island and HBO's Pause w/Sam Jay. She has Netflix and Comedy Central half hour specials and has appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Chelsea Lately, @midnight, Lights Out with David Spade, This is Not Happening and many more fun things and in Horace and Pete. She is the co host of the podcast That's Messed Up an SVU podcast and host of her own podcast Enemies. What makes her most proud is she regularly performs at The Comedy Cellar and The Comedy Store.
Nathan Macintosh
Energetic, loud, and always funny, Nathan Macintosh is becoming one of the names to know in comedy. Most recently appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he's also performed on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Conan, his own half hour special shown on The Comedy Network/CTV, and multiple Just For Laughs Galas. He can be heard regularly on Sirius Satellite Radio and CBC Radio's "The Debaters". His special, "Money Never Wakes" was released in the spring of 2023 to rave review from The New York Times.

Ariel Elias is a comedian living in New York City. Growing up, this Kentucky Jew made everyone laugh at her bat mitzvah, and the rest is history. Today, her comedy is a fun mesh of unique, personal stories mixed with witty and wry observations.
Described as “a sly young comic from Kentucky” by the New York Times, Ariel has also been featured in Rolling Stone, the Washington Post, and on Good Morning America. As a traveling stand up comedian, she has performed on the set of the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and was named a “New Face” at the 2021 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival.
After catching Jimmy Kimmel’s attention with a viral stand up clip that displayed her cool, calm, and hilarious composure, he invited Ariel to make her late night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! In the same week she also appeared for an interview on the daytime talk show, Sherri.
When not performing or writing, she’s probably petting a dog or struggling through a puzzle.
Joey Avery
Joey Avery is a comedian on the rise who frequently tours with Andrew Schulz, Mark Normand, Trevor Wallace and other staples of the comedy scene. He is a Don’t Tell Comedy favorite, was featured on Season 10 of Comedy Central’s Featuring and has quickly amassed an online following through a mix of improvised standup and precise material. He hosts the Pier 69 Podcast with San Francisco turned LA based comedians Mark Smalls, Dauood Naimyar and Andrew Orolfo.
Special Event: Kyle Kinane
Kyle Kinane is a comedian from Addison, Illinois. According to Wikipedia, he is a notable person from that town. Other notable residents of Addison have been the boxer Leon Spinks and a woman who wrote poetry about Beanie Babies. Raised in such a cultural fondue pot as this, it was natural for Kyle to find his way from warehouse work into
show business. As a comedian, he has been seen on Conan, The Tonight Show, Netflix’s “The Standups,” and three of his own hour-length specials on Comedy Central. As an actor, he’s been in the Judd Apatow series “Love” and truTV’s “Those Who Can’t.” He was also on “Drunk History,” where he unfortunately wasn’t acting. As a voice over actor, he was the former voice of Comedy Central for 8 years and currently plays Bullet on the Netflix series “Paradise PD.” He is also cohost of the Boogie Monster podcast along with Dave Stone, and the streaming show “Hey Girl” with Matt Braunger. As a musician, he has done nothing, as he is not a musician. Kyle’s most recent standup work, “Trampoline In A Ditch,” was recorded at Comedy on State in Madison, Wisconsin and was released on 800 LB Gorilla Records in 2020. The album was accompanied by an animated short, produced by Meister.

Sahib Singh
After serving 5 years in the JROTC, Sahib Singh has not only proven himself on the battlegrounds, but also on the stage. The rising star from the Baltimore/D.C. stand-up scene has performed at clubs and colleges across the country, and in 2019, he won the Magooby’s New Comedian of the Year competition. His original videos have earned him a strong following on social media, and in 2021 he worked as a writer and performer for Comedy Central. His work has been featured on the CBS Comedy Showcase and the digital series AS SEEN ON ADULT SWIM.
Eric Neumann
Eric Neumann is one of the fastest rising standup comedians in the United States. In February 2022, he made his late night debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC. He has recorded three albums/specials, Nervous Lover, Just A Phase, and, most recently, But Enough about Me: A Crowd Work Album. All three reached number 1 on the iTunes Comedy charts and are currently playing on Sirius XM Radio. He has appeared on Season 3 of Comedy Central’s This Week at the Comedy Cellar, as well as Season 1 of The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show on Netflix. In 2021, he was featured in The Jerusalem Post as “one of the Jewish comedians who stayed relevant during the Covid-19 pandemic.” He is currently on a headlining tour performing at major comedy clubs across the country. When not touring, Eric lives in Manhattan, where he is a regular at the Comedy Cellar.
Rachel Feinstein
Rachel is a nationally touring comedian and actress. Huffington Post called her “the only comedian we've seen who can go from embodying her grandmother in one breath and a predatory guy on the street in the next and be equally convincing at both.” She has had three Comedy Central specials, including the most recent ‘Amy Schumer Presents Rachel Feinstein: Only Whores Wear Purple’. Rachel recently recurred on the Steven Soderbergh Amazon series RED OAKS and on Judd Apatow's HBO comedy CRASHING. She also guest starred on Bravo’s ODD MOM OUT. Her past credits include TRAINWRECK, TOP FIVE, THE NIGHTLY SHOW WITH LARRY WILMORE, HBO’s LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER, co-hosting THE VIEW on multiple occasions and several appearances on INSIDE AMY SCHUMER. You may also remember Rachel co-hosting alongside Shaq on UPLOAD WITH SHAQUILLE O’NEAL. Feinstein has also lent her voice to Adult Swim's VENTURE BROTHERS and the phenomenally successful GRAND THEFT AUTO video game franchise. Her latest special premiered on March 20, 2018 as part of Netflix’s half hour series THE STANDUPS.
